You Have Been Selected

Thank you for applying for the Ben Jackson Foundation Ticket Home Award. Our Selection committee recently met and reviewed recent applicants. Due to the high volume of applications, we received and our limited funding, the Foundation can provide awards for a small percentage of applicants. After careful consideration, the committee selected you to receive a ticket home award in the amount of $500.00 for your trip home, Congratulations!!

Recipient Award Process

The following checklist will outline the next steps that need to be taken prior to and after your travel. All questions regarding this checklist can be directed at Tickethome@benjacksonfoundation.org.

  • Submit Your Travel Receipts to Ben Jackson Foundation
  • Complete Your Recipient Survey
  • Send Us Photos of Your Trip
  • Help Spread the Word

Acknowledge Your Travel Award

Our Awardees are notified via email of their selection on or before the 15th of the month following your application. Awardees are also posted to our website each month.

As an Awardee, you'll need to respond to this email with an acknowledgment within 30 days to let us know if you plan to accept or decline this award and to confirm that all of the above information is correct. Your reply will ensure we keep these funds available for you to use.

The Ben Jackson Foundation will make two attempts to contact you. Failure to acknowledge the award within the time frame will result in loss of award.

Send Ben Jackson Foundation Your Travel Receipt

You will be reimbursed for your travel. Please email your travel receipt to Tickethome@benjacksonfoundation.org after your leave has been approved and include your leave documents along with receipt for your flight.

If you will be driving, send your gas receipts. (Acceptable forms of reimbursable travel include airline flight or vehicle mileage/gas.)

Complete Our Recipient Survey & Share Photos

After you have completed your travel, please complete our Recipient Survey. A link to the Recipient Survey will also be emailed to you. The survey collects basic demographic information and allows you to share highlights from your trip.

In order for the Ben Jackson Foundation to continue providing Travel Awards, it is important for us to both learn about our Awardees and sometimes share their experiences. This information is used to promote the organization, increase donations, and recruit more applicants. Please complete the Recipient Survey and upload a few photos from your trip.

Receive Your Travel Award Reimbursement

Donate to the Ben Jackson Foundation | Wisconsin NonprofitAfter you have completed your travels, submitted your receipts, and completed our Recipient Survey, the Ben Jackson Foundation will mail you a check to reimburse you for your travel expenses.

The reimbursement check will be mailed to the address listed on your Travel Award Application. If you have questions about the process or need to confirm your address, Please email us at Tickethome@benjacksonfoundation.org.

We encourage you to help spread the word about the Ben Jackson Foundation—not only to service members who could apply for a Travel Award, but also to friends and family members, potential donors, and volunteers.
