Every month, something powerful happens behind the scenes at the Ben Jackson Foundation. Applications arrive from young service members stationed across the country—and around the world—each with a simple hope: the chance to go home.
For many newly enlisted military members, the first assignment away from home can feel worlds apart from the people and places they love. Travel costs can make visits home difficult, especially early in a military career when pay is limited. That’s where the Foundation’s Ticket Home Awards step in—helping cover travel expenses so these dedicated men and women can reunite with family and friends after arriving at their first permanent duty station.
Each award is more than financial assistance. It’s a reminder that their service is seen, appreciated, and supported by a community that cares.
