Tom Lehr, United States Marine Corps (1961-2022)

Tom Lehr Marine Uniform

Tom Lehr retired as a Marine, and sadly passed away 2 weeks ago. Yesterday, we were honored to be able to learn about Tom’s service and his life from his niece Anne and her husband JD.

They made a wonderful donation of $1,000 to the Ben Jackson Foundation in Tom’s honor – enough to bring home a Marine stationed overseas.

Here is Anne’s tribute to her uncle:

“My Uncle Tom was in the Marine Corps for 20 years. He got out to drive truck for Schneider trucking for 22 years. Tom had a huge heart and attempted to make things better no matter where he went. His hugs and love will be seriously missed. In honor of him and his joy of supporting the families of the military, we are proud to donate in his honor. Had he known about your organization, I know he would support it fully. As I’m sure he has witnessed a time or two of people in need of getting home. Thank you for doing what you are and can!”

To his wife Janet, Anne, JD and the rest of Tom’s family, we would like to express our deepest condolences and our gratitude for his service. We have added Tom’s name to the tribute wall on our website.

Semper Fi, Tom.
